Mark Yu
Mark Yu is a Kinbaku/Nawa Shibari practitioner and sex positive educator. He is a devotee of Chinese medicine, Taoist sexual yoga and Zen. He has developed and advocates a style of progressive rope-based body disciplines that have the power to transform and heal, as well as look good and satisfy. He has taught bondage, healing arts and energetic play techniques publicly and privately for many years. Drawing from his lifetime study of Oriental Medicine, 25 years of clinical experience in treating muscle pain and bio-mechanical dysfunction and his extensive knowledge of the body and its energy pathways, he has designed a beautiful and practical approach to the increasingly popular and wonderfully erotic techniques of rope restraint and body manipulation.

This class will demonstrate and teach techniques for fast and secure one rope arm binders. These techniques are modified from ancient Hojojutsu forms and are fast, safe and easy to use. Though this style is designed for both fast and rough body play, they are also useful for simple quick rope play scenes. Safety concerns are covered along with important bio-mechanic issues.

Manipulation of the Bound

This class will show ways to manually manipulate and stimulate the body and energy of the person bound by taking advantage of various bondage positions with an emphasis on Japanese style ties. Using a Soft or Yin style, the student will learn how best to manipulate the energy of their Bound using light touch and pressure. Developed from Oriental body techniques, such as Tui Na, Shiatsu and Jin Shin, this method is deeply relaxing and powerfully erotic.

The Honorable Ebi/Gyaku Ebi (for fun & torment)

The Ebi and its reverse, the Gyaku Ebi are some of the oldest Shibari ties known. Both of these and their variations have been used in military and law enforcement contexts such as interrogation and torture for centuries. That makes them perfect for our use! Since they are vigorous and demanding ties that involve difficult positions, they are recommended for intermediate and advanced players who enjoy and are in condition for strict bondage and tough play. Variations on tying and play techniques for these positions will be shown. Safety and the bio-mechanics of these ties will be covered in detail.
